WHAT IS TEAM COACHING?

Team coaching is not the same as training (i.e. teaching/ telling a team what to do). It's helping the team to take ownership and responsibility for their own development. Very much putting them in charge. Making the team aware of patterns on how they work together and giving the them the choice: will we continue like this or do we want to make a change? Through getting to know and trying out new behaviour, the team experiences the effects. Ultimately it’s the team itself that takes the responsibility to make a sustainable improvement.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Team coaching can deliver the goods for all sorts of teams. When a new team is being formed and needs to hit the ground running. Or a key team is not working as effectively as it could, and the team leader and members agree that they want to do better. A long-established team has lost its sparkle and wants to regain it. Or a top team wants to become a role model for the rest of the organisation.
Again, what's important is that the team itself takes the responsibility and decides where it wants to go.

DOES TEAM COACHING WORK WITH VIRTUAL/ REMOTE TEAMS?

Yes! Your virtual or remote team can be a dream team!! We'll simply take Team Coaching online. Tried and tested. And succeeded!

The rules of being an effective team apply as much to virtual teams as face to face ones. And remote meetings definitely can be effective and fun! You could compare remote team work with an e-reader: it may initially feel not as good as a real paper book, but when you look at the many advantages (small, you can read in the dark, lightweight, it's many books in one) it might actually be better!

THE RESULTS

And the results? I hear you ask. Well... The team achieving the goals they themselves formulated (tick). The elephant in the room no longer there. It has been discussed and dealt with (tick). Clear agreements and agreed ways of working, to which everybody sticks. And ways to address each other if not (tick). Focus (tick).  A positive flow, a joy to work together. AND business results (tick, tick, tick).
I would call that a Spark!

IS TEAM COACHING THE ANSWER FOR ALL TEAMS?

The short answer is "no". Team coaching isn’t always transformational. If there is  no desire in the team for collective improvement, then the impact will be very limited. Equally, the team leader needs to see that change involves them as well. That's why I always ask the team explicitly for commitment. And they have the option to say no. That's OK.

So yes, a bit of courage and being open to change is required. For the team and their leader.

WHAT SIZE TEAMS DO YOU WORK WITH?

For Face to Face (F2F) sessions I keep a maximum of 12 team members. 
For online sessions the group can be maximum 9 members.

Bigger is possible but then sessions might need to be longer. So for bigger groups: let's talk.

Spark unlimited's flagship programme for a high performing team.

A 6-8 month Team development programme, to make a sustainable change. Monthly sessions -face to face or online- with the whole team, aimed to make a real and sustained difference. 

What's included?

- Team Temperature Check: online questionnaire to assess the team’s current effectiveness and needs, plus mentor session with team lead

- Team Booster day: Kicking off the programme with the basics of good team work. Getting clarity about where you want to go as a team and how you want to work together. And get full commitment (the team will vote Go/ No Go).

- 3 x Team Coaching follow-up sessions*: working towards the team goals.

- 3x In between Consultations with the leader of the team (90 mins, online)

- Each session custom designed, based on the specific needs of your team

- Mentor session with team Lead to evaluation and discuss next steps

Investment:

Face to Face programme (Team Booster Day + 3 x short days): £8500,=**

Online programme (Team Booster Day + 3 x half days): £7000,=


*Online follow-up Team sessions are half a day (9:30h-13:00h)

The Team Temperature check gives your team members the opportunity to say what they really think. And you clear input and direction on how the team and you can improve.

- Anonymous online questionnaire, sent to all team members 

- A short report outlining the generic trends in the team (without compromising anonymity)

- a 2-hour mentor session with the Team Lead
